"Security has always been one of the priorities of our management and for the development of the 'virtual Slovakia' under the .sk zone. It was therefore only natural to offer our resources to the collaborative work of the European TLD ISAC", said Peter Bíro, General Director of SK-NIC.

SK-NIC's membership in the European TLD ISAC marks a significant milestone in the collective effort to enhance the cybersecurity posture and resilience of Europe's top-level domain registries. Peter Bíro: "We want to help create a united security approach in the area of internet infrastructure and foster the recognition of ccTLDs' efforts within an ever-changing European regulatory landscape."

As cyber threats continue to evolve in complexity and scale, the addition of SK-NIC to the European TLD ISAC alliance strengthens the collective capabilities to detect, respond, and mitigate these challenges effectively. Its participation underscores the importance of cross-border cooperation and information sharing among TLD registries in fostering a robust and cyber-resilient DNS ecosystem.

Kristof Tuyteleers, Chair of the European TLD ISAC Working Group added: "SK-NIC joining us brings more diversity to the ISAC, which is beneficial to all members. We look forward to working closely with SK-NIC and leveraging its contributions to enhance our information sharing mechanisms, develop best practices, and advance our mutual goals of ensuring the security, stability, and resilience of the internet's infrastructure. Together, we are stronger in our fight against cyber threats and in our commitment to safeguarding the digital ecosystem of Europe."
