The 3rd edition of our European TLD ISAC Conference was the the biggest one to date, bringing together almost 100 participants and speakers onsite, along with 30 remote attendees.
Participants included cybersecurity experts, representatives of registries, registrars, Europol, CERT-EU, national authorities, other ISACs, European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), the European Commission, the European Parliament. They discussed how to ensure cyber resilience amidst shifting threats and geopolitical realities.
Barbara Povse Povše kicked off the event with warm welcome remarks, followed by Dirk Jumpertz, who presented the latest developments of the TLD ISAC and also expertly moderated the entire programme.
Our keynote by Peter Zinn set a forward-looking tone, exploring the forces shaping tomorrow’s cybersecurity landscape and concluding with a cliffhanger “maybe”…
The morning continued with:
- A geopolitical discussion on digital sovereignty with Jose Carlos Delgado from the European External Action Service, Kai Zenner and Michael Littger, moderated by Nina Elzer.
- An update on NIS2 and the evolving legislative environment from Juuso Järviniemi.
- A session on the future role of ISACs with Evangelos Kantas, with Juuso Järviniemi kindly stepping in for Christian D’Cunha.
The afternoon offered practical, technical and collaborative perspectives:
- Marc Groeneweg on DDoS simulation at SIDN.
- Alexandre Dulaunoy on strengthening collective resilience through MISP.
- Sebastian Tauchert & Simon Ofner showcasing insights into DGArchive and domain generation algorithms.
- Lars-Johan Liman on DNS TAPIR and robust DNS collaboration.
- Vasileios Mingos sharing international best practices from HEALTH-ISAC.
We concluded with closing reflections from Robert Schischka, highlighting the growing maturity and impact of the TLD ISAC community.
